Almost all Wholesale Distribution companies receive the ordered goods in their warehouse(s). A sizeable ones receive the trailers first in their yard and then take the trailers to the docks and unload and go through a process before the consignment fully or partially are taken as their inventory. During the time of receiving the trailers in the yard, they may or may not have Advance Shipping Notification (ASN) and if the goods are coming across the border need to follow additional checks and reporting.
Currently SAP ECC and S/4 HANA don't have these processes --- from capturing the Carrier check-in in their yard through taking the trailers to the available dock, quality check before the actual quantities are taken into the inventory --- and the gap could be 1 to 3 days.
Without this information, sales reps are unable to take and confirm orders and thereby lose revenue.
Our solution works on both mobile as well desktop and starts from Carrier check-in based on ASN (if available), otherwise from open Purchase Orders to assigning trailers to the docks, prioritizing assignments, carrying out the Quality check and carrying out the Goods Receipt for the cleared quantities within 1 to 4 working hours, enabling the sales to take and confirm orders.
